Shopping center ablaze in Baltimore; no injuries...

BALTIMORE (AP) - Firefighters in Baltimore are trying to contain a growing blaze at a shopping center.

The fire started Monday morning at the Edmondson Village Shopping Center. Fire Department spokesman Battalion Chief Kevin Cartwright says the flames spread to three adjacent businesses - a women's clothing store, a hair and beauty supply store and a sandwich shop.

Montgomery public schools have been in the news lately because of an extension of the dress code that forbids people from wearing just whatever they want to athletic events on school campuses.

A homeowner arrived home late Friday morning to find two people stealing items from his house.

The house is in the 30800 block of east Truman Road north of Grain Valley in unincorporated Jackson County.
