PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) -- Prosecutors say police found bloody clothing and a weapon when they searched the apartment of a man accused of killing a woman in his building. Police have charged 35-year-old Dominick Ratliff with murder in the death of 42-year-old Lucy Mae Daniels on Saturday. A district court judge ordered him held without bail yesterday. Ratliff has not yet entered a plea on the murder charge. Police Major Stephen Campbell says a maintenance manager found Daniels Saturday in a vacant apartment one floor below where Ratliff lives with his wife and children. Daniels died later that day at Rhode Island Hospital. Campbell would not say whether Daniels and Ratliff knew each other.
