Actionaid in Myanmar is delivering emergency relief with its partners in 276 villages in the affected areas. We aim to reach thousands of the most vulnerable people like children, women and the elderly with much-needed immediate aid in the coming days.

While it is hard for European Aid agencies to reach affected areas, through local partners ActionAid recently trained people from many villages in the Irrawaddy area in Disaster risk reduction - helping them to know how to respond to natural disasters such as cyclone Nargis.
